Third Coast Labrador Retriever Rescue was the vision of some hard working passionate women back in 2015. The volunteer Board of Directors, remains a tireless group of “sisters” who work tirelessly. We are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming Labradors and Labrador mixed breeds in Michigan. We receive many intake requests from shelters and other organizations, as well as private citizens. When we take in a dog, we are committed to making the animal healthy, happy, and socially adjusted. All dogs resides in a foster homes, receiving the same love and attention that our own dogs receive. They receive whatever medical care they may need. Veterinary care is typical and can be simple like updating vaccines, spay or neuter, heartworm testing or microchipping. Or more complex like senior dogs with various health issues or dogs with orthopedic injuries.
We do not have a physical facility; all of our dogs are in private foster homes throughout the state of Michigan. We believe that this provides the best environment for a dog and allows us to provide realistic information about a dog when they are ready to be adopted. We have rescued 740+ dogs since 2015!
We also work to educate the public about the Labrador Retriever breed, which is crucial to the longevity of this wonderful breed that we love.
